About the Job

We are looking for a top-performing, creative Project Manager with a proven track record of influencing the global development agenda through strategic communication and partnership building, campaign work, community mobilization, and event facilitation.

 

Our new team member will be based in Nairobi, Kenya and will help support and grow our project portfolio, spanning across various areas and clients, such as governments, ministries, international corporations, global foundations, and civil society initiatives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor or master’s degree within Strategic Communications, International Business, Political Science, Development or a related field with an excellent academic record
     

  • Min. 4 year’s work experience, ideally in the intersection between global development, communication and innovation, and ideally min. 2 year’s work experience as a project manager e.g. in a top-tier consultancy firm
     

  • Creative mindset and an ability to independently manage and drive several parallel workstreams forward with a team
     

  • Structured approach to plan and lead rigorous analysis and present key messages in front of experienced audiences
     

  • Strong people skills to build, lead and nurture client and partner relations
     

  • Fluency in written and oral English

Preferable skills

  • Experience working with social entrepreneurship and innovation processes is an advantage

We are looking for top-performing, innovative and communications savvy interns to contribute to our team’s work on creating and visualizing sustainable concepts, communication strategies and social media content to address global development challenges. Our new team member will help support and grow Dalberg Media’s project portfolio.

Ideal candidate:

  • Demonstrated fluency in written and oral English (Required)
     

  • Ongoing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field with an excellent academic record
     

  • Creative mindset and an ability to communicate compellingly in written and visual form
     

  • Structured thinker and good at managing processes
     

  • Understanding of running social media campaigns, including analysis of data
     

  • Experience working in high paced environments

Other plus points

  • Skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro 
     

  • Experience working in WordPress and Squarespace 
     

  • Experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
     

  • Fluency in foreign languages (especially Danish and French)
