Nura Adib Escalé

Nura is a Communications Intern at Dalberg Media, focusing on gender, migration, and humanitarian issues within the field of global development.

She holds a Master's degree in Global Development from the University of Copenhagen, where her thesis examined how the Afghan diaspora in Denmark mobilizes to counter gender apartheid in Afghanistan. She also conducted interdisciplinary field research in Bolivia, exploring the links between migration, trust, and rural gentrification.

Prior to joining Dalberg, Nura gained valuable experience with DanChurchAid on civic space and human rights advocacy and with the Catalan Government on Euro-Mediterranean cooperation. Originally from Barcelona with Iraqi and Spanish roots, her experience living in Barcelona, Seoul, and Copenhagen has given her an international perspective on development challenges.
